Calling all bumpers, setters, and spikers, the 2004 Island-wide Volleyball League and the Saipan Amateur Volleyball Association are looking for you to show off your skills this year in Oleai, and maybe in the FSM.

Beginning in October, teams from all over Saipan will go head-to-head on the courts at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium to find out who has what it takes to be the best team in Saipan. Players will also be viewed by the organizers for possible consideration for the 2006 Micronesian Games that will be held in Chuuk.

Teams will be limited to a maximum of 15 players each and will be required to pay a $100 entrance fee. League organizers are looking to have men’s, women’s, and youth leagues in an effort to raise the overall skill level of the island’s v-ballers.

If you are interested in further information, contact either Joe Lizama or Joe Mettao by calling 664-2503 or 664-2508.
