Felicidad “Daling” Taman Ogumoro was honored by the Third Association of Municipal Councils, Inc., in a resolution recognizing and congratulating her for being selected as grand marshal for the 2004 Liberation Day Parade.

The resolution acknowledges that the 2004 Liberation Day Theme “Strength in Unity and Diversity” is not only appropriate but fitting in today’s society.

Every year on July 4th, the people of the CNMI celebrate not only freedom and democracy they gained after being freed from the U.S. stockade at Camp Susupe following World War II, but they also observe the U.S. National Independence Day.

Ogumoro, who is of Carolinian ancestry, is a resident of Capitol Hill and a former representative from Saipan election precinct III. She led the 2004 Liberation Day Celebration Parade in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary Commemoration of the Battles of Saipan and Tinian as grand marshal last July 4.

Ogumoro is the proud daughter of Daniel Rogolifoi and Estefania Taman Ogumoro and the proud mother of Kodep, Alingmar, Lescheweisei and Leimalyal Ogumoro-Uludong. The resolution recognizes Ogumoro’s educational and work background as well as her numerous public services contributions.

The resolution concluded by saying that the members of AMC join the people of the CNMI in extending special recognition and congratulations to Ogumoro for the honor of leading the 2004 Liberation Day Celebration Parade, which was done in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary Commemoration of the Battles of Saipan and Tinian on Sunday, July 4, 2004.

The resolution was certified by president Gregorio V. Deleon Guerrero and vice president Jude U. Hofschneider and attested by secretary Mametto M. Ayuyu.
