Point Break Series Challenge continues tonight
It’s time to don the board shorts and slather on the sun screen because it’s time to show your skills on the Flow Rider as the Point Break Series Challenge is back again at the Pacific Islands Club.
Round Two of the Series will get underway tonight at 6pm, and the competition should be excellent, if last week was any indication. Riders should arrive earlier to allow time for registration.
The Series began Saturday, July 17, when Cal Ronan, Tirso Adriatico, Jerald Domingo, and Keisha Paez took first place in their respective divisions. With four more competitions, the titles in each class are still very much up for grabs. After today, riders can compete on Aug. 14 and 28, and Sept. 11.
There will be singles, doubles and big trick competitions throughout the tri-month series that is sponsored in part by Coca Cola. Men and women will be grouped into age divisions 12-and-under, 13-17, 18-34, and 35-and-over, and as of press time, there are still some openings available.
To be a part of all of the action, venture down PIC information counter and pick up an entry form. It’s only $10 to enter one any one of the events, but $30 will grant you access to all five surf-off’s, special discounts, and PIC facility privileges.
