A fake $100 bill was identified on Tuesday after it was used to purchase several items at Meitetsu Mart.

According to the police report, the bill was reportedly used by Pauline Tabora to purchase 12 rolls of toilet tissue, a can of black flag, and air freshener.

The report indicated that the accountant of the establishment revealed to the responding officer that the bill was a fake after comparing it with another $100 bill.

The counterfeit bill was reportedly thicker and was darker in color than a regular bill. The accountant also pointed out that the fake bill did not have the watermark that is printed on all $100 bills.

The report indicated that the cashier checked if the bill was real, and although did not see the hidden face, thought it was real due to the presence of hidden numbers on the bill.

The report did not disclose if any arrest was made or if Tabora was aware of the counterfeit bill.
