TanHoldings will be holding its 9th Annual JP Walk this Friday, Feb. 24. The event, dubbed JP Memorial Walk Glow Run, celebrates the life of John Pangelinan, former publisher of Saipan Tribune.

Registration is $10 per person, inclusive of a free event shirt (while supplies last) and a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes.

The JP Walk used to be exclusive only for Saipan Tribune staff, TanHoldings employees, and Pangelinan’s family. However, organizers have expanded it to the community, not only to honor Pangelinan but also to promote a healthier lifestyle.

The JP Memorial Walk Glow Run & Health Fair will start at 5pm. Pick up registration forms at the JP Center Bldg. along Beach Road in Garapan or register at the site starting at 4pm.

There will be two routes. The 3K will start from the Garapan Fishing Base to the turning point across Gold Beach Hotel and there will be a turning point at Quartermaster Road intersection for the 5K.

Funds raised from the event will go to the 2017 Marianas March Against Cancer on behalf of TanHoldings.

Pangelinan was born on Oct. 26, 1937 and died on Feb. 5, 2008.

For more information about this event, go to the second floor of the JP Center Bldg. Beach Road, Garapan and look for Eunice Angeles or call (670) 235-0561.
