Sir, we also have taken “Problem of American Democracy” in high school only to find the obvious divide between textbook lessons and real-life situations. You ought to know it better than most of us, given the history of slavery in U.S. history.

Like the indigenous people in New Caledonia, Hawaiians in the State of Aloha, Chamorros on Guam, Native Americans, African Americans and the NMI, our clamor is for respect of our rights and the institution of justice to end discrimination and the exclusionary dictates of being told of what is good for us.

We know what you’re saying and there’s nothing new nor substantive in your material. We’ve learned about them for more than six decades. Your dictates, however, is exactly what we resent as indigenous people and if you refuse to see where we’re coming from, it may do you a whale of good to review your history. And I am not being a bigot either, sir!
