Typhoon Tingting is keeping the boys in the Saipan Major League from winning their bling-bling, as the playoffs have been postponed for yet another time.

Due to unplayable field conditions, the second game of the first round of the playoffs have been rescheduled for a 6:30pm start next Wednesday, July 7, at Francisco M. Palacios field. The second place Brewers will try to end the series against the third place Pirates and advance to the finals with the defending champion Northern Yankees.

The first game of the Saipan Major League baseball playoffs was completed Wednesday evening, June 28, as the Miller Lite Brewers sank the Pirates 13-3. Since then the weather has been somewhat less than its usually cooperative self.

The Pirates will have to wait another week to get their revenge and will have to try to stay focused on the game at hand. With all of the weather related delays, the players have been spending so much time away from the field that it’s a wonder that they even remember how to get there.
