CFL asking for new logo for new season
Calling all artists, the Commonwealth Football League needs your help. After having the same logo depicting the league for three years, the CFL is moving forward with a plan to change the design for the 2004 season.
According to CFL chairman of the board John Blanco, not too many people were pleased with the current edition of the logo, and it is high time for a change.
“The idea has actually been talked about for a while. Now that I am the chairman of the board, I want to change it,” said Blanco.
While the board members will discuss how to go about changing the insignia, the chairman has already made a move by accepting submissions from anyone who thinks that they have what it takes to capture the essence of the league.
With all of the grunts and groans of opening day set to begin on Saturday, August 14, it is imperative that submissions be made as soon as possible. The upcoming fourth season of league has new teams and, with the departure of the Predators, has no defending champion to be unseated. The new season is up for grabs, and so is the opportunity to make your mark on the future of local football.
“It’s an all new league with a new look, and we want a logo that will really represent us,” said Blanco.
