The distribution of ATP checks and food stamps to all Tinian Nutrition Assistance Program recipients was delayed due to Typhoon Tingting.

According to Department of Community and Cultural Affairs public information officer Catherine P. Anderson, the distribution was originally set to unfold yesterday but this did not go through due to the cancellation of flights.

The distribution of monthly benefit allotments has been rescheduled for tomorrow, July 1, at the DCCA NAP Office between 8am and 4pm.

Anderson said the number of families affected will not be known until all benefits are distributed; the number is, however, expected to be identical to last month’s distribution.

In May, a total of 220 individuals from 68 families on Tinian were granted assistance through the program.

Distribution was also postponed on Saipan on Monday. It resumed yesterday for late recipients and will continue today.

Distributions on Rota will be held today.
