CIC TENNIS ON STANDBY
FILATA has postponed all scheduled games of its 2004 Century Insurance Co. Tennis Classic until weather conditions improve.
FILATA also advised participants to check the American Memorial Park tennis courts bulletin board for future announcements or call Boyet Minor at 323-3081 or Buenaventura himself at 322-5880.
SOFTBALL LEAGUES POSTPONED
The Saipan Softball Association announced that the 2004 Men’s Island Wide Slow-Pitch Softball League, the 2004 Men’s Island Wide Fast-Pitch Softball League and the 2004 Women’s Island Wide Slow-Pitch Softball League have all been postponed and the tentative opening date will be on July 5.

CNMI NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS RESCHEDULED
The CNMI National Track and Field Championships has been pushed back to July 17. The schedule of events have not been released as of yet, but there is sure to be a wide array for athletes in all categories.

SAIPAN FISHING TOURNEY ON AUG. 28 AND 29
The 20th Annual Saipan International Fishing Tournament will be held on August 28 and 29 and boats from Guam, Palau, Rota, and Tinian are expected to grace the two-day fishing tourney.
The top three ranks will be awarded in the following game fish categories: Bill fish, yellow fin, wahoo, mahi mahi, and skip jack. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first participant to land a marlin weighing over 624.34 lbs. and a yellow fin tuna weighing over 106 lbs.
Applications for the event, containing the rules and schedules of the event will soon be available at the Marianas Visitors Authority and the Fishing Tackle Shop.
