Gather your swimsuits, hats, sunscreen lotion, and energy ready for a fun-filled day at the Summer Club Dai-Ichi Hotel. The Sports and Recreation buddies have planned out a series of exciting activities for children ages 4-12.

With an admission fee of $10 for residents and $20 for nonresidents, kids would taught arts and crafts, hula dancing, beach games, Olympic games, and more.

Iwayan Sudan, manager for Sports and Recreation, started the program for kids to enjoy their summer while their parents are at work. “We usually have a minimum of 10-15 kids a day, both residents and nonresidents,” said Sudan.

Chris Sablan, one of the organizers, enjoys working with the children. “It’s fun working with them. My boss put me here because I work with kids well,” he said.

Organizers for the summer club work together with the kids in making each day at Dai-Ichi enjoyable and entertaining. “Wet and Sweats Day” includes shell collection by the beach, snorkeling, bogie boarding, and water basketball. Throughout “Lagoon Day,” the children could be found in the waters, sailing, canoeing, swimming, and playing water polo. Lessons from the organizers include hula dancing, mwar-mwar making, mask making, and origami.

Madisa Oney has been with the summer club since they started the program on June 6. “It’s fun and exciting. I enjoy swimming,” said Oney.

Lunch is self-served at the Le Creole, where the children enjoy a wide selection at the buffet. “The children never complain about the food,” said Sablan.

Adding to their day of fun, the children also get to watch their favorite movies at the Chambre to watch An American Tale, School Of Rock, A Light in the Forest, and Durago Kids.

The summer club program will be ongoing every day until August 8. Parents are advised to have their kids experience this wonderful day of fun-filled activities.
