PIC honors 4 as employees of the month

The Pacific Islands Club recently honored four employees for their dedication to their jobs and the hard work they have put in to make the resort hotel one of the top hotels on Saipan.

Mieko Motoyoshi was awarded the Front of the House Employee of the Month Award for her dedicated efforts and continuous enthusiasm. Mieko has been with PIC for just over a year and works in the Sports, Entertainment, and Activities department as a Clubmate. Her energy and positive team contributions are unprecedented and keep the PIC spirit alive on a day-to-day basis. She carries the PIC torch with pride and goes out of her way to ensure guests are enjoying their stay. She never hesitates to go above and beyond what is expected to exceed guests’ expectations. Mieko can often be seen running, biking or swimming around Saipan as she trains and prepares for various competitions. And whether on the job or on the road, she always has a smile on her face!

Chuji Rios is congratulated as the Heart of the House Employee of the Month for his continuous contributions to the success of the team. Chuji has been a loyal part of the PIC team for eleven years and works diligently in his role in the Culinary department to ensure food is served fresh and with a flare for excellence. Chuji is skilled at preparing a variety of ethnic cuisines from all over the world and can often be seen at the action station in the Magellan serving up sizzling fajitas and burritos, succulent sushi, or scrumptious phad Thai noodles from the “land of smiles.” Chuji is very active in various activities such as PIC Beach Clean Ups and the PIC Softball team and also devotes a great deal of time and energy to the PIC booth at the Taste of the Marianas. His positive interaction with both guests and co-workers are appreciated and applauded.

Bonnie Guevarra was awarded the Supervisor of the Quarter for his diligent contributions and dedication to an exceptional product. Bonnie has been with PIC for almost 14 years and is an integral part of the PIC Engineering team. With each new project and challenge, Bonnie exhibits efficiency and teamwork and ensures that goals are completed up to the expected standard and within tight time frames. PIC congratulates and thanks Bonnie for his continuous and valuable contributions to the success of the team.

Lito Embradura, PIC’s Chief Steward, was recognized as the Manager of the Quarter for his outstanding efforts to the F&B department and PIC. Lito has been with PIC for over two years and plays an integral role in ensuring the F&B Culinary team offers a consistently exceptional product. Lito works tirelessly and is dedicated to getting the job done above and beyond expectations. Lito was also instrumental in the coordination of the Taste of the Marianas event and never hesitates to devote his energy and efforts for the good of the team.
