Eco Camp session 2 starts Monday
Session one of Eco Camp ends this Friday, with a new session slated for Monday, June 28. Located at the Mariana Resort and Spa, Eco Camp features activities including go karts, horseback riding, kayaking, golf, tennis, snorkeling, arts and crafts, swimming, soccer, and more.
Camp Director Keirsten Hess is back for her third year of Eco Camp. “The kids have been having a lot of fun, this week they are on the horses and they really enjoy that. The older group likes mountain biking the best.”
Eco Camp kids are joined each day by tourists from Japan, Hawaii, and Korea. These kids participate in camp while they are on their vacation.
“It’s a chance for the kids to make new friends with kids from around the world. Our counselors speak English, Japanese, Korean, Palauan, Chamorro, and Carolinian,” said Hess.
Camp facilities include three swimming pools, a snorkeling beach, dive pool, golf course, go kart track, arts and crafts room, buffet lunch, baseball and soccer field, and more.
Eco Camp runs Monday thru Friday in two-week sessions throughout the summer. Ages are from 4 to 12. Ages 13 to 15 can participate in the Junior Counselor Program. Special features include a pick up service, and buffet lunch option. Eco Camp is priced at $175 per two-week session. Applications are available on-line at www.ecocamp.mp, the Mariana Resort and Spa, Gold’s Gym, or in your Verizon Phone Bill.
