Want to tour around the island?

If you do, Cars Unlimited Rent-A-Car provides cars at the most affordable rates on Saipan—as low as $20 a day.

Cars Unlimited Saipan manager Riza Crisostomo said the company is currently offering promotional rates on weekdays by giving out $5-discounts. Daily rental rates range from $25 to $30.

“We are the car rental company that offers the cheapest rates on Saipan. Monthly rental rates range from $550 to $750,” she said.

Owned by Micronesian businessman San Markos, Cars Unlimited began its Saipan operations in October 2001. At that time, the company only had five cars available for rent. Before that year ended, Markos brought in another five cars to add to Cars Unlimited’s fleet.

The company further acquired additional vehicles in the coming years. It now has 22 cars available for rent to both tourists and residents.

The car rental business actually branched out from Guam, where Cars Unlimited has been operating for the past 15 years. On Guam, the company has a fleet of about 154 cars.

“Business is doing good. In general, we are surviving,” Crisostomo said. The company rents out quality used cars, inclusive of free liability insurance coverage.

“Most customers tell me that they don’t need brand new cars, as long as the engine and aircon function well,” she said. Crisostomo said the company’s competitors have rental rates that could reach about $67 a day, more than double the rates carried by Cars Unlimited.

Cars Unlimited’s office is located along Airport Road near Herman’s Bakery, and is open from 8am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, it opens from 9am to 5pm.

Cars Unlimited may be reached at (670)288-7261. Its website is www.carsultd.com.
