…and the Saipan Agricultural Fair Association

The Saipan Agricultural Fair Association was recently recognized during its 25th-year anniversary as a non-profit corporation assisting the ranchers and farmers of Saipan.

The 8th Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council has adopted a resolution congratulating the association for 25 years of existence in assisting farmers and ranchers and exhibiting their best agricultural products and live stock.

The association was at the forefront this year in the celebration of May this year as Mes Lancheros or Farmers’ Month.

The association is managed and directed by its officers and members: Donald G. Flores, president; Mac Chargualaf, vice president; Dr. Ignacio (Ike) T. Dela Cruz, secretary/treasurer; Albert Conception, chairman, Rules Committee; Isidoro T. Cabrera, chairman, Logistic Committee, Vicente S. Borja, chairman, Solicitation Committee; Vic Guerrero, chairman, Plant Division; George Moses, chairman, Animal Division; Juan F. Borja, member; Ray Ngeskebei, member; Diego B. Camacho, member; Steve F. Kileleman, member; Lucia Mendiola, associate member; Tom Pangelinan, associate member; James Babauta, associate member; Kay Ewar, associate member; Richard B. Seman, honorary member and Polley Omechlang, youth representative.

“The members of the Municipal Council and the people of Saipan extends special recognition and congratulation to the officers and members of the Saipan Agricultural Fair Association for their exemplary service for and in the interest of our Saipan farmers and ranchers and to congratulate them on their 25th anniversary in May, 2004,” the resolution says.

The resolution was certified by chair Gregorio V. Deleon Guerrero and vice chair David A. Indalecio and attested by secretary Antonia M. Tudela.
