‘An absurd measure’

Reading about the bill that proposes to require all contract workers to leave the CNMI for renewal process is absurd. Credit must be given to all foreign workers that have worked hard and diligently made Saipan survive through the hard times as well as the prosperous times. Does it occur to the delegation that the amount of money and work it will take to renew workers? Or is it just a tactic to benefit certain individuals. Example… The amount of money it would take to send workers back and forth on the airlines? The processing fees and background checks on every individual submitting renewal? The amount of workforce needed to process and investigate visas, passports and affidivits for background checks?

After the development of the Homeland Security bill, all foreign individuals traveling abroad will be investigated before accepting entry. I think the government of the CNMI should consider all realms of this bill before approving any measure toward this bill being approved.
