UFO meeting today

The United Filipino Organization will hold an important meeting regarding its annual UFO Inter-Organization Basketball League at 6:30pm today at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office, ground floor of the Nauru Building in Susupe.

The organization is calling on all participating teams to send a representative to the meeting.

The UFO is eyeing a May 30 start for its 5th Annual UFO Inter-Organization Basketball League, which was made to coincide with its 2004 Palarong Filipino festivities.

Northwest Airlines to hold golf tourney

Northwest Airlines will sponsor the NWA Invitational Golf Tournament on June 13 at the Lao Lao Bay Resort Club west course.

Showtime for the event will be at 11am and shotgun start is schedule at 12 noon.

Organizers would be using an 18-hole, four-player scramble, Double Peoria format for the tournament and cash prizes will be given away in the tournament. Entry fee is $100.

CFL Pepsi Chiefs set meeting

The Pepsi Chiefs of the Commonwealth Football League will be holding a team meeting Thursday, June 3, on the beach behind the Aquarius Beach Tower at 6pm in Chalan Kanoa. The newest team of gridiron warriors will have their first practice on Monday, June 7.
