Kautz is March SGA Ace
SGA returnee Rick Kautz toppled 2001 Ace champion Eun Jung Taek last March 24 at Lao Lao West.
Kautz nearly walked the entire course to clinch the March Ace championship. Twenty-eight SGA members rallied for the title. Kautz won the championship with his superb 39 front and 40 at the back. His 12 handicap gave him the lead with a low net score of 67.
A tiebreaker, however, was necessary between Ed Manglona and recent SGA returnee Frank Castro, for second and third place. Both netted low 68 but Castro rightfully earned runner-up honors with his par against Manglona’s one over par at 8th Hole. Manglona came in as SGA’s February Ace.
Closest to the pin winners are Judge Manibusan at Hole No. 3; Ben Aldan at Hole No. 7, Larry Guerrero at Hole No. 13 and Harry Khang at hole No. 17. The April Ace tournament is scheduled for April 28 once again at Lao Lao West. Showtime is 7am.
