Human resource group gets prestigious award

The CNMI Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management recently received the Superior Merit Award from the Society for Human Resource Management which represents more than 150,000 human resource professionals around the world.

The award recognizes SHRM chapters for operational excellence, superior membership service, promotion of the human resource profession and support of SHRM goals and programs.

“The CNMI Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management represents the best and brightest of the human resource profession and, through its programs and services, demonstrates the power of local and national partnerships,” said Michael R. Losey, SPHR, CAE, President and CEO of SHRM.

The CNMI Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management was established in 1997 to serve human resource professionals throughout the CNMI.

Marcia K. Schultz of Carlsmith Ball LLP is the 2001 president of the CNMI SHRM chapter. She invites all human resources and business managers to attend SHRM”s monthly luncheon meetings held on the second Thursday of each month at the Hyatt Regency featuring speakers on employment law and human resource topics.
