Home used to be the ultimate safety sanctuary, a shelter far from the reach of sinister elements.

But a family in Koblerville apparently subscribes to this idea no more.

Last Sunday, rifle shots were reportedly fired at a house behind the Han Nam market in Koblerville. Police said there were no reported injuries.

Pending investigation, authorities declined to release the victims’ names. “We still don’t know the motive behind this,” said Department of Public Safety spokesperson Cecil Celes yesterday.

Authorities qualified the incident as drive by shooting case.

Police records reveal that at least three gun shots were fired at the structure, creating holes on the victims’ car and bedroom.

Crime scene technicians were able to recover extended shells as evidence. The Criminal Bureau of Investigation is currently probing the case for possible leads. (MM)
