An 18-year-old Marianas High School student was suspended from school and admitted to police custody all in the same day for allegedly assaulting a fellow student inside the campus Tuesday.

The teen Chamorro suspect, according to police, boxed a 16-year-old Filipino male when the victim refused to accommodate the suspect’s invite to a duel.

Department of Public Safety spokesperson Cecil Celes quoted police reports saying the declined interest to fight with the suspect but took a blow on the facial area anyway.

The two boys were brought to the MHS principal’s office as a result of the incident, where the suspect was suspended from school.

The accused then left the campus but police said he returned to school later and took another swing at the victim.
