Manila’s Elvis Presley — Eddie Mesa — will be arriving on Saipan today to share his life and music in a two-night concert at the Hibiscus Hall of the Dai Ichi Hotel on March 2 and 3.

Mr. Mesa’s unmatched talent and good looks were instrumental to his catapult to an incredible fame and success in the 60s and 70s.

He was called Manila’s Elvis Presley because of his ability to smoothly imitate the late American rock superstar. He was also a recipient of many coveted awards for his superb acting skills and excellence in singing.

Mr. Mesa had wowed many audiences in his performances at various places and post hotels. Apart from earning the title of “Total Performer,” he had also been dubbed as the “very best” by a Guam-based newspaper columnist.

Called “A Rendezvous with Eddie Mesa,” the two-night concert is anticipated to draw a huge crowd from among the Filipino community on Saipan, as well as those of other ethnic backgrounds who have seen him perform and those who are excited to witness the Philippines’ Elvis Presley perform for the first time.

Mr. Mesa’s two-night concert on Saipan is sponsored by the Filipino Programs of KSAI Radio, in cooperation with Continental Micronesia, Coca Cola Beverage Company-Micronesia, and Oriental Hotel.
