When a student is found to possess drugs, cigarettes, or engage in unruly behavior warranting suspension or expulsion, where is the parent when the student is charged? When a young boy or girl decides to drop out of school where was the parent during the time the child was gradually heading in that decision. All of the things that children do are rarely spontaneous. Bad conduct or bad decisions take time and reasons before the action is committed. Where were the parents all this time?

1. Who of us will deny that our most indelible memories are of our parents?

2. Who of us will deny that our basic character was formed by the roles our parents played in our lives?

3. Who of us will deny that our parents influenced us in our youth and continue to influence us even in our adulthood?

4. Who of us ever stops referring to what our parents did or did not do to us when we were growing up?

5. Who of us can recall any other
