WAO holds livelihood workshop

The Governor’s Office of Women’s Affairs is joining hands with the Cooperative Research Extension and Education Service-Family Consumer Services of the Northern Marianas College in offering introductory workshops on the preparation of traditional pastries from Feb. 3 to March 3.

The workshops will be held at the multi-purpose center in Susupe from 9:00am to 12:00nn every Saturday beginning this weekend, according to a media statement issued by the WAO.

WAO is encouraging interested individuals to participate in the workshop, which are being conducted as part of overall efforts by the Tenorio Administration to increase the participation of women in the business sector.

Registration is now ongoing at the WAO office at the JTV Commercial Building in As Lito. Interested individuals may also call 288-4102 or 288-7365 during regular office hours from Monday to Friday.

WAO said seating capacity for the workshop is limited to 25 participants in order to ensure that everybody is able to concentrate on the lectures.
