High compliance rate on health standards noted

Business establishments on the island, particularly restaurants and retail stores, are believed to be complying with the CNMI health and sanitation standards.

This is following the series of routine inspection conducted by the Bureau of Environmental Health teams of the Department of Public Health last week.

Based on the report released by the BEH, the routine inspection held during the period of Jan. 7-13, the following business establishment passed the health and sanitation standards of the bureau: Shell Koblerville Retail, New Mart Burcher Shop, New Mart, Ejay’s Variety Store, Seaside Retail Store, Rainbow Retail Store, Julies Barbeque Special, D’ Elegance Restaurant, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Sare Retail, and SH Market.

The bureau is continuously conducting routine inspection to assure the public that business establishments especially eating and drinking establishments are complying with the standards set by the CNMI government to ensure the safety of the buying public.
