More Continental flights between Guam, Hawaii
Continental Airlines yesterday announced it will increase service during the summer months by dispatching additional flights between Guam and Honolulu, in response to strong customer demand during the period covering May to September.
The new flights have been added to Continental’s regular daily flight from Guam to Honolulu and back, bringing the total flights per week from seven to nine each way. A DC-10 aircraft will service all segments.
The additional Guam-Honolulu flights will also offer convenient connections to the mainland United States via Houston, the airline company said in a media statement.
Walter Dias, Continental staff vice president of sales and promotions, said the additional flights confirm Continental’s dedication to the Asia-Pacific region.
“We’ve added the extra frequencies between Guam and Honolulu to meet the anticipated strong summer demand. The flight departure and arrival times at both destinations are perfect for our leisure travelers who connect through Honolulu to the U.S. mainland, and who stop on Guam on their way to Micronesia. And since both Guam-Honolulu flights continue on to Houston, it gives our business travelers greater options for connections in the U.S. mainland from Continental’s main hub.” he said.
Continental Airlines is the fifth largest airline in the U.S., offering more than 2,400 departures daily to 138 domestic and 92 international destinations. Operating hubs in Newark, Houston, Cleveland and Guam, Continental serves more international cities than any other U.S. carrier, including extensive service throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
