Lover’s quarrel end up in police blotter
It was supposed to be an ordinary lover’s quarrel but unfortunately got out of hand. Sun Hye Yoo called up the police because his boyfriend Sang Mok Moon, 28, beat her up in the early morning of Jan. 3, 2001.
Ms. Yoo told the police that she picked up her boyfriend around 6 am at a Korean restaurant in Chalan Kanoa.
When they arrived in their apartment at the second floor of Uncle John’s building, Mr. Moon called up his parents and told them about how his girlfriend has become.
Ms. Yoo wasted no time calling up his own parents and told them about her problem. She even convinced her boyfriend to talk to her parents on the phone but Mr. Moon got mad and punched her on the head. Not contented, he punched her some more and broke her eyeglasses. Mr. Moon was arrested for assault and battery with a $1,000 bail for his temporary release.
Woman nabbed for assault
Police arrested Jong Kyu Choi, 38, for criminal mischief and assault with a dangerous weapon. According to Rose Ada, DPS Information Officer, Mr. Choi started throwing stones at the car of Xiang Lan Jin, 35, for no apparent reason at all.
Ms. Jin came from Karaoke Musical in Chalan Kanoa where she visited a friend and was about to board her car when Mr. Choi started screaming at her and also threw stones which shattered the vehicle’s glass window.
Increased drive vs. drunk driving
The Department of Public Safety is inviting the public to join the motorcade ending the 3D campaign on Saturday . Assembly time will be at 8am to 8:30 am at Micro Beach.
