Gov’t vehicle damaged

Twenty-nine-year-old John M. Namauleg has apparently ran out of productive things to do. He vandalized the vehicle of Nicky S. Norita at the Japanese Bunkers near the Saipan International Airport bearing CNMI plate license number ABJ 485.

Police Capt. Dolores M. San Nicolas saw Mr. Namauleg throw a piece of rock at the vehicle damaging its windshield. Damage was estimated at more than $250 . Superior Court Associate Judge Timothy H. Bellas has set the bail at $1,000.

Husband attacks wife after holiday shopping spree

An irate husband threw a pair of his safety shoes at his wife whom he suspected was spending too much for the holidays.

Police arrested Joseph Emul, 33, for disturbing the peace and assault with a dangerous weapon. His wife Maria called up the police after Joseph kept on harassing her on Christmas eve.

Maria, who went shopping on Sunday, was met by an angry husband who started shouting profanities at her and demanding that she return his money. To avoid more troubles, she returned the $130 to Joseph who immediately left as soon as he got the money. Thirty minutes later, Maria’s husband came back, ate his dinner and started shouting again.

Not contented, he started destroying things at the living room, including their coffee table. He threw his safety shoes at her hitting her right thigh.

Bail has been set at $1,500.
