The Rota Republican Party has conducted its election of party officials on Dec. 12, 2000 on Rota, with Thomas A. Manglona, named president; David M. Santos, vice president; Laura I. Manglona, secretary; and Efrain M. Atalig, treasurer.

As the newly organized officials, they have pledged to support and work harmoniously with the candidates for the forthcoming election 2001 and also with party officials from the islands of Tinian and Saipan.

In addition, full endorsements are made to the CNMI Republican candidates, including incumbent Mayor Benjamin T. Manglona, who is seeking a re-election, as well as Senators Edward U. Maratita and Ricardo S. Atalig.

Also, the party would like to inform the people of Rota that the seat for the House of Representative is open for any interested individual. The interested candidate must be committed to provide leadership and is able to work cooperatively with the candidates and officials for the best interests of the people of Rota and the entire CNMI.

With the strong leadership, commitment and dedication, the party is confident that all the candidates under the Commonwealth Republican Party banner will emerge victoriously in next year’s election.
