Oleai Elementary School is receiving some $42,000 to build an outdoor stage after Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio approved yesterday appropriation of the funds.

The Department of Finance has assured him the money is available from a balance left from an earlier project by the government.

Public Law 12-35 reprogrammed the fund balance from the construction of Chalan Kiya waterline and the design and construction of Oleai waterline replacement.

About $40,500 in surplus funds remains in the Chalan Kiya project, while $1,445 from the Oleai project.

The public works secretary is given the expenditure authority under the new law which was offered by Precinct 3 representatives, led by Rep. Jesus T. Attao, following an appeal from school officials of OES.
