In the first round action of this year’s Rocball games, Roy Kaipat of the Chronic Mixers, a graduate of MHS, and Jennifer Somol of the Islanders a senior at MHS, set new records in Rocball’s first round of competition.

Roy set a new Rocball record by scoring seven goals in one game. The previous record was 5 goals scored in one game by Martin Mettao and Fred Kaipat in 1988 and 1992.

Jennifer Somol who plays on the women’s team the Islanders and for the men/women’s mixed team of the Flyers, is the first Rocball player to score as the heavy hitter twice in any single round of play. Jennifer is also the first person this year to make it as the “Master Blaster” of Rocball.
