Education Day tomorrow

Public school teaches and employees will be celebrating Education Day this Wednesday at Garapan Elementary School. This year’s education theme is “Education opens the door of dreams and lives.”

Education Day is an annual event sponsored by the CNMI’s Public School System. The event is held to bring public schools closer together to build friendships, award distinguished teachers and employees, and of course, to have fun.

One of the highlights of Education Day is the awards presentations. Each school selects teachers and employees of the year, and a committee selects the overall winner. It is a prestigious award which exemplifies a commitment not just PSS, but to the students of every school. last year’s CNMI teacher of the year was Mr. Jonas Barcinas, a teacher at San Vicente Elementary School.

Other highlights include entertainment by the Garapan Mallards, Uman, and the annual goodwill games.
