Workshop on coconut fiber & traditional fish trap making

The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture will be sponsoring a series of traditional coconut fiber rope and traditional fish trap making workshops from Nov. 20-Dec. 22, 2000.

Master crafts artist Tony Piailug will be teaching the traditional workshops at the CNMI Gallery for Arts and Culture in Capitol Hill. The workshop will be held every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You are required to take the rope making workshop, which will be taken tackled on the first three days, in order to take the fish trap making lessons.

Registration fee is $10.00 for both workshops and the seats are limited. Registration forms are available at the Arts Council Office in Capitol Hill.
