The Department of Public Safety will temporarily close Beach Road in Garapan from Carolinian Utt to the American Memorial Park beginning 7:00 a.m. to give way to the International Festival of Cultures parade.

DPS will block the road by the Big Dipper.

A parade will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2000 along “The road closure is scheduled for 7:00 a.m. on Saturday to accommodate the parade,” said Capt. Manuel Mangarero, Patrol/Traffic commander. “In addition to the parade, there will also be an event at the Sugar King Park. Because this temporary closure will affect those traveling on Beach Road and we can almost predict that traffic will be congested on Middle Road. We advise that the public take alternate routes.”

DPS personnel will be on hand to guide the busses shuttling tourists to and from the hotels along this route.
