1st game: Old Aces 80, Doritos 73

Old Aces earned their first victory of the season by defeating Doritos 80-73 in overtime in the BANMI-Masters Mobil Oil Basketball League.

Joe Camacho pumped in 24 points, 2 assists, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. Teammate Dave Camacho helped out with 16 points, 1 assist and 9 rebounds.

Jerry Lopez had 15 points followed by Roger Valencia with 10 points. Doritos playing Coach Andy Nepaial contributed 6 points, 2 assists, 6 rebounds and 1 steal, while veteran player Rick Northern contributed 5 points, 2 assists, 8 rebounds and 1 steal in a losing cause.

It was a very close game and the score was tied 68-68 by the end of regulation. This game went into overtime with Old Aces winning over Doritos 80-73.

2nd game: GTE Pacifica 81, NMC Fakpi 52

GTE Pacifica, the two times Master defending champion, handed NMC their first loss of the season with 81-52 victory.

Richard Brostrom pumped in 19 points, 4 assists, 1 blocked shot, 17 rebounds and 3 steals, while teammate Dado Vistal contributed 18 points mostly coming from the 3-point area. Vistal also managed to grab 7 rebounds and 2 steals.

NMC Fakpi was led by Lloyd Hartman with 11 points, 4 assists, 4 blocked shots, 11 rebounds and 2 steals. Arnold Mesa backed up Hartman with 9 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds and 1 steal in a losing cause.

GTE Pacifica, missing the services of their playing Coach Tony Sablan, still managed to pull the win with point guard Frank Iglecias orchestrating the GTE attack.
