Two in stabbing incident charged

Police filed charges of assault with a dangerous against Katvin R. Amaichy and Pierre Rengiil in connection with a stabbing incident Monday night.

According to DPS Public Information Officer Rose Ada, police received a call about the two men fighting at Sablan Apartments in Koblerville. Initial investigation showed that Mr. Rengiil was on the third floor of the apartment building when he was attacked by Mr. Amaichy.

Mr. Rengiil, armed with a knife, rushed out of the apartment and stabbed Mr. Amaichy. As a result Mr. Amaichy suffered lacerations on the face and elbow while Mr. Rengiil sustained injuries on his forehead and left shoulder.

Both are now detained at the Division of Corrections.
