Superior Court Associate Judge Juan T. Lizama yesterday sentenced convicted murderer Jesse James Camacho three years in jail, all suspended except one year, in connection with the prison escape last Easter Sunday.

Mr. Camacho, who pled guilty to the escape charge, will serve the additional one year after he has finished the 45 years jail term earlier imposed by the court for the murder of 13-year-old Antonio Sablan, Jr.

The victim was stabbed 37 times in their house in Dandan as part of the initiation rites for membership into the so-called Red Rum gang.
Mr. Camacho bolted out of prison on April 23, 2000 with two other convicts — Kurt M. Taisacan, 22, and Luis Deleon Guerrero Camacho, 51.
