The truth, Sir!
It’s tiring fighting against enemies of the CNMI in an arena where media representatives hardly know of these isles. I sympathize with our people living across the country who earnestly wish to help in terms of how can we guard against the willful ruination of the image of these isles by vicious malcontents.
I felt wounded and turned into an instant hemophiliac as I struggled to explain the slim chances of saving our image from malcontents who care less of our fate for as long as they get their materials on the front page. The origin of these materials, as revealed in the recent Congressional Hearings in Washington, came from David North, Allen Stayman and other labor unions’ lackey boys working for the lame duck Clinton administration.
Understandably, I can see the clandestine nature in the way that California Congressman George Miller has mightily employed resources on all fronts to seek permanent closure of the CNMI’s apparel industry. Indeed, Mr. Miller comes from the capital of garment manufacturing out west–California. And he can’t stand any notion that our once tiny and inconsequential apparel industry has ballooned into a $1 billion economic sector.
How interesting an approach–using labor abuses that appeal to the national media–where the Pinto Boys from Interior pitched-in on a failed attempt to annihilate the last major economic sector that has held sturdy when tourism plummeted. I know that in my quiet prayers, He has heard my innocent plea to help us through these difficult times, especially against racist detractors.
I wouldn’t be troubled if in fact the real nature of this warfare is founded on injustices that are only found in the CNMI. However, I have read tons of materials how federal agencies in California have turned their heads the other way so that more illegal migrants are given jobs over CNMI US Citizens. Then there’s the prostitute-ridden streets in Northern California where young girls who haili from Mr. Miller’s district engage in the old profession. So much for prostitution and the Glass House Syndrome.
Despite it all, I still have confidence in all that our country stands for. I am forever grateful for the untiring efforts of freedom fighters. However monied special interest groups came close to annihilating our livelihood, it still is a beautiful country.
Yes, Congressman Miller, freedom and justice are earned and only those who die and sacrifice for it are awarded the fruits of their convictions.
Nonetheless, it is still personally appalling how you have employed political power to stampede the powerless and helpless, US Citizens of these isles under the shield of reform, obviously the agenda of labor unions.
Your efforts should have been the contrary where you offer help to US Citizens situated outside mainstream America. Even against all the racism that emerged from your labor unions’ based agenda, I heavily rely on His strength to protect and defend our political and economic freedoms. Seemingly, that’s what American Democracy is all about!
Forcing the multitude to line-up in front of the Food Stamps Office here is far removed from my idea of enhancing and enriching the quality of lives of US Citizens here. How sad that our fate is often viewed in assorted fashion depending upon which special interest group has a more powerful agenda of displacement and ruination. I am sure that revisiting the Declaration of Independence would enable your nimble mind to begin learning the intent of the founding fathers when they scribbled “We the people…rights in the pursuit of happiness….”
