Saipanda bike race on Sat.

On Saturday, May 27th, starting from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the Saipanda Bike Race will take place starting at the Marianas Resort with two different courses set up for the Family Race and the Professional Race. The age limit for this event is 12 years old and up. Deadline for registration of this event will be Thursday, May 25, 2000.
The Family course will be approximately 5.4 miles and will start and end at the Marianas Resort with the turnaround at Banzai Cliff. Registration fee is $10.00 and $15.00 after the registration deadline.
The Professional course will be approximately 12.6 miles and will start and end at the Marianas Resort with the route taking you just north of the La Fiesta Mall and into the Marpi Tourist Sites from the back area.
Registration fee is $15.00 and $20.00 after the registration deadline
The road leading into the Marpi Tourist sites will be closed during this event and monitored by the Department of Public Safety.
Proceeds for this event will go to Karidat, CNMI Youth Center for Music and the Performing Arts, and Crime Stoppers.
The Saipanda Bike Race is organized as part of the 2000 CNMI Tourism Month activities that was created to promote the tourism industry within the CNMI community.
