Continental to begin non-stop service to Seoul
Continental Airlines has announced that it will resume serving Seoul, South Korea starting July 16, 2000. The airline will fly two times a week to Seoul, non-stop from Guam. A Boeing 737-800 aircraft will service the route every Thursday and Sunday. Flying time from Guam will be approximately 4.5 hours.
Continental flight 927 will depart Guam at 5:25 p.m. and arrive in Seoul at 9:05 p.m. Departure of Continental flight 928 from Seoul will be at 9:55 p.m. and arrive in Guam at 3:05 a.m. the following day.
“We’re excited about reentering the Korean market as it is the second largest tourism source for Micronesia, ” said Walter Dias, Continental Airlines staff vice president of Sales and Promotions. “We fell our new Seoul flights will benefit the local consumers and the local economy. The flight will also make Micronesia a more convenient vacation destination for Korean travelers and will strengthen Guam’s position as an airline hub in the Pacific Rim.”
