Robbers ran away with close to $16,000 in cash when they struck Saipan Bowling Center gameroom in Susupe last Good Friday.

Investigation showed that the workers closed the establishment at around 1:00 p.m. for a five-hour break but when they came back at around 5:30 p.m., the cashier discovered that the dollar bills were already missing. However, the robbers left behind over $30,000 in quarter rolls.

Police suspect that the robbery was an inside job since the money was taken from the cashier’s drawer without destroying the lock.
Usually, earnings are kept inside the Bowling Center’s main office’s vault but since the gameroom will resume operation at 6:00 p.m., the supervisor found no reason to transfer them.
