Ada names temporary House officers

Acting House Speaker Martin B. Ada yesterday designated Reps. David M. Apatang and Heinz Hofschneider as vice speaker and floor leader in acting capacity until the return of the leadership from its trip in Washington D.C.

Eight members of the House of Representatives are on the island after the 10-member delegation left late last week. They are not expected to return until late next week.

Mr. Ada has been designated by Vice Speaker Alejo M. Mendiola as acting House leader before he departed to the nation’s capital on April 6.
