SACA elects officers

A group of cyclers organized and elected its initial officers last March 5 at 13 Fishermen Beach Pavilion.

The elected officers who will serve as board of directors at same time of said organization are the following:

Manny T. Vilaga – president

Rosel R. Torres – lst vice president

Romy Malabana – 2nd vice president

Willie Aragon – 3rd vice president

Lito B. Mendoza – secretary

Romy Lanuza, Jr. – asst. secretary

Peweee Evangelista – treasurer

Willy Garon – assistant treasurer

Owen Asayas – press relations director

Oscar San Agustin – business director

Alexander Gozon – safety director

Here are the executive committees to assist the officers and board of directors in running the Saipan Cyclers Association:

Membership Committee – Willie Aragon, Chairman

Ways & Means Committee – Romy Malabanan, Chairman

Comm. Program & Fund

Raising Committee – Ralf Yumul, Chairman

Sports & Recreation Committee – Manny Sitchon, Chairman

Program & Invitation Committee – Merwin Marcelo, Chairman

Governmental Affairs Committee – Rosel R. Torres, Chairman

Liability & Ins. Committee – Jude Dickenson, Chairman

Advisory & Election Committee – (to be chaired by past president)

At this time there are 62 members, 20 of them participated in Tour De Tinian last March 25. SACA is planning to have a lst Annual Cycling Competition here in Saipan in the very near future. Everyone is welcome to join the rides every Tuesdays and Thursdays at American Memorial Park from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.; on Saturdays from 6:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. from La Fiesta to Banzai Cliff; and from D’Elegance Restaurant from 6:45 a.m.
