The Superior Court has set a $1,500 bail for the temporary release of Arnel Castro Marquez, 40, who was accused of stealing a car owned by his former girlfriend.

Based on a police report, the vehicle was discovered missing on March 16, 2000 at around 9:00 p.m. by Janet Datinguinoo, the suspect’s ex-girlfriend. The vehicle was reportedly parked at the Hyatt staff house in China Town.

Ms. Datinguinoo waited for two weeks for Mr. Marquez to return the vehicle but the suspect allegedly refused. This led her to call the police and file a complaint to recover the missing vehicle.

Mr. Marquez was arrested on March 23, 2000.
