1st Game: Sharks defeated Len’s Restaurant 78-63 Friday night at the Ada Gym. Carlos Aguon was the leading scorer with 32 points, one assist, two rebounds, and a steal. Luis Cepeda backed up Aguon with 13 points, five assist, three block shots, 10 rebounds, and three steals.
Sharks will now go into the next round while Len’s became the third team to be eliminated.
Mark Rozic had a good night with 30 points, one assist, one block shot, 10 rebounds, and two steals, while George Poquiz contributed 10 points, three assists, six rebounds, and a steal in a losing cause.
2nd Game: Get Covered eliminated Ol’Aces from the playoffs by defeating them 76-74 in the second game of the evening. Tim Wesley poured in 23 points, three assists, one block shot, 10 rebounds, and two steals, while John Acosta, who was the hero of the game, pumped in 19 points, one assist, five rebounds. Acosta sank the winning basket with 6 seconds remaining in the ball game.
Dave Sablan led Ol’Aces with 29 point and three 3 assists, seven rebounds, and one steal, while Romeo Iginoef contributed with 14 points, one assist, and three steals in a losing cause.
The defeat dropped Ol ‘Aces out of the playoffs.
