IN ROCBALL Gymless remains undefeated

There were three games played last week in rocball competition. In the final game of round three, the two remaining undefeated teams, Shooting Star and Gymless played a three-set game, with Gymless defeating the San Antonio Shooting Stars 43-29. With that victory, Gymless is now the only undefeated team left.

Tyce Mister, this year’s first and so far only “Master Blaster”, was once again the games heavy hitter leading his team’s scoring with 2 aces, 1 xunk, and 4 kees for 14 points. Gymless won the first set match 19 to and came back in the second set for a match 19-15 set win. Shooting Stars had an early lead in set three, 5 to 1, when time expired.

Gymless pretty much dominated Rocball’s multiple point scoring techniques in this game with 4 aces, 2 xunks, 11 kees to Shooting Stars’ 4 aces, 7 kees and 1 goal.

The Chuukanos won their second game of the year last week by defeating Igi-Odo in three sets, 32-17. The Chuukanos started off by winning the first set scratch 13-2. Igi-Odo came back in the second set and made the Chuukanos work a little harder but lost again match 11-16. In the third set, Igi-Odo started out with a 4-3 lead.
But, it was to little to late as time expired.

The heavy hitter for the Chuukanos and Igi-0do game was first year Rocball player Jonathan Jones of the Chuukanos. Jonathan scored 1 ace, 1 xunk, 2 kees and a goal for 11 points.

In the third game of last week, the Brotherhood, NMC’s college players, handed the Bwiibwiis their first defeat of the year in a fun-packed and enjoyable game 29-24. This was a close game and the Brotherhood had to come back from a first set scunk defeat 11-0 to win.

Brotherhood won the set match 15 to 7 and cut Bwiibwiis lead to 4 points going into the third set. In the third set Brotherhood beat Bwiibwiis in a scratch set 14-3 and took an 8-point lead in the game. In the fourth set, which was incomplete, Bwiibwiis had a 3-0 lead when time expired ending the game.
