Car seat checkpoint
The Department of Public Safety will be conducting a Car Seat Checkpoint today, Dec. 21, 1999. The checkpoint will be conducted at three different locations starting at 8:00 a.m.
As a reminder, a DUI Sobriety Checkpoint will be conducted this weekend. The purpose of these checkpoints is to deter and detect violators of the CNMI Traffic Laws.

Youth conference
There will be a youth conference on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Aqua Resort Club. The theme for this conference is “Achieve Your Goals.”
Guest speakers will provide tips on how to make decisions, stay healthy, and achieve goals.
Mount Carmel presents rock ‘n roll musical
The Mount Carmel Theater Club and Hard Rock Cafe is scheduled to present “Grease,” a rock and roll musicale set in the 1950s, beginning Jan. 7, 2000.
Admission is $10 which includes two free drinks or a dessert. Tickets are available at Mount Carmel or Hard Rock Cafe.
