Fresh Start training session
The Division of Mental Health and Social Services will be sponsoring a one-day training session for aspiring facilitators of Fresh Start on Friday, Nov. 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The program, which is part of the anti-smoking activities of the American Cancer Society, needs 15 volunteers who will conduct four to six Fresh Start programs a year.

Asst. AG at SHRM meeting
The Commonwealth’s chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management will be holding its monthly membership meeting on Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel with Assistant Atty. General Sean Frink as guest speaker.
Frink will provide information on employment applications to ensure compliance with federal laws.
This week’s luncheon meeting will be held Giovanni’s Restaurant at 11:30 a.m. The cost for the luncheon is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for nonmembers.
