ANNOUNCEMENT Attention artists and art collectors
The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture is in the process of planning the next CNMI Cultural Heritage Exhibit along with a new exhibit called Arts Pacifika.
Both exhibits will opened on Sept. 10 through Nov. 12, 1999 at the CNMI Gallery for Arts and Culture on Capitol Hill.
The CNMI Cultural Heritage Exhibit will feature traditional Carolinian and Chamorro crafts and will serve as part of the CNMI-wide Cultural Heritage Month celebration in September.
The arts Pacifika on the other hand, will take the place of the Annual Micronesian Crafts Exhibit and will feature artwork from places like Tahiti, Wallis and Futuna, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and other Pacific island nations.
All interested artists and collectors of both Carolinian and Chamorro crafts and Pacific artwork are asked to submit work to be displayed or sold in this exhibition.
The Arts Council will start accepting work on Wednesday, Aug. 18th, through Friday, Aug. 27th from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
