The Department of Public Works has to clear Nan Ocha Road in San Vicente of unnecessary encroachment before it starts working on its improvement which is one of the priorities of the Tenorio administration under its capital improvement projects, said Rep. David M. Apatang.

He said this will ensure that the plan is “correct” for the $1.2 million project, which is expected to be bid out to contractors by next month, adding that he will meet with DPW officials to remove obstacles along the five-mile road.

Apatang, of Precinct 1, also pledged to pitch in money for the resurfacing of the San Vicente basketball court to prevent accidents. “With the smoothness of the surface, a person can easily loose his or her footing while running and may hurt his or her ankle, knees, lower back or head,” he said in a letter to Public Works Sec. Juan B. Cepeda.
